We are looking for an experienced Manager to join our Senior management Team at Manston and lead our strategic and operational work in relation to Safeguarding and Staff and Resident Wellbeing.

Salary: £48,000 - £50,000 Dependant on experience

Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

We are ideally looking for an individual with both management experience in an operational setting and safeguarding experience (either as a recognised Designated Safeguarding Lead or as part of their management remit).

Manston is a unique site when it comes to Wellbeing and Safeguarding needs due to the transiency of the population, the complexities associated with illegal migration and the cultural and language differences amongst the population of residents.  Manston is also a site that functions through the operation of numerous stakeholders such as Home Office, Healthcare providers such as Aeromed and other service providers.

As such, our successful candidate will be highly skilled at building rapport, establishing effective and professional relationships, proactive problem resolution, persuasive communication, driving change, stakeholder engagement, defensible decision making  and motivating and managing staff of all levels.  The successful candidate will also need to be comfortable with taking accountability for decisions made and working on their own initiative due to the evolving and often unique nature of the safeguarding concerns that are raised in Manston.  An ability to liaise with and work collaboratively with Local Safeguarding Boards, social services, police when necessary is also essential.

The successful candidate will need to be able to identify existing gaps in provision and process, build on practices already in place and be part of a team that can develop process and practice to meet changing demands and increasing expectations.
