We are seeking a dedicated individual for a Water Technician position to ensure the quality, and safety of water systems within our hospital. This role is critical to maintaining our commitment to health, safety, and patient care.

About the Role
The Water Technician will be a pivotal part of our water team involved in maintenance, and compliance of the hospital's water systems, including maintenance of all types of outlets, temperature recording and analysing results, remedial activities when results are not as expected and flushing of system whilst knowing why this is vital to the safety of the hospital users and patients. Your expertise will ensure that water systems meet stringent healthcare standards and support the hospital's operations.

Key Responsibilities
Monitoring of the water supply systems, including outlet plumbing, filtration, and wastewater systems connected to sinks.
Identifying and undertaking remedial activities when results do not match expected levels.
Local plumbing activities to replace local pipework.
TMV maintenance and replacement when necessary.
Legionella awareness.
Pseudomonas awareness.
Quality Assurance
Conduct routine water quality tests to meet healthcare and regulatory standards.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, including Legionella prevention and risk management.
Preventive Maintenance
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and water quality testing.

Education
Ideally history in similar role but no essential.
Certification in water treatment, plumbing, or a related field (preferred).
Ability to produce clear reports and records.

Experience
Worked within a hospital environment.
2+ years of experience in water system operation and maintenance, preferably in a healthcare or critical environment preferred but again not essential.

Skills and Knowledge
Understanding of water treatment systems, infection control protocols, and Legionella prevention.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Good working within a team or on own initiative.

Physical Requirements
Ability to work in confined spaces.
