Events Manager

Working hours: 40 hours per week.

Mitie are looking for an experienced Events Manager to join the team in London, with knowledge and understanding of the events industry. You will be working with local police and government services.

As the Events Manager, you will represent Mitie values on site by being presentable, approachable, and helpful at all times. Able to motivate and develop others within the business. . You will be hands on, driving a culture of high-quality customer excellence, managing a diverse multi skilled service delivery team. You will be responsible for providing facilities for major events that take place in and around the city.

The Special Events Manager will be responsible for achieving and maintaining the client specification as set in contractual requirements across multiple sites. You will set objectives and goals for the team and decided what work needs to be done to meet those goals. You will manage the day – to – day activities of Traffic Management and Engineering event services as well as organizing, dividing and delegating the work into manageable activities, selecting people to accomplish the tasks that need to be done.

 It will be the responsibility of the Special Events Manager to plan and manage their own workload effectively as well as train staff and update the MiSafe training matrix, keeping records of learning and development forms. You will be people focused, with the ability to build effective relationships with all levels of professionals and maintain them as well. Experience with the New Roads and Street works Act 2002 chapter 8 and a valid formal Health & Safety qualification e.g. NEBOSH is ideal.

You will have a high standard of literacy and numeracy. Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills. The ideal candidate will have Skilled Trade or events industry background and City and Guilds in Signing, Lighting and Guarding. A full and valid driving licence is essential, along with flexibility essential in workload and possibly hours if needed
