Senior Supervisor VE Highland RFCA

Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Supervisor  to oversee the efficient management and prompt delivery of all Mitie contractual outputs. The Senior Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all statutory, mandatory, and reactive performance targets are consistently met within their designated area. This role is based in Dundee Area and will report directly to the Mitie VE HRFCA Contract Manager.

Main Duties

Supervise the efficient, compliant, and timely execution of maintenance and response tasks in line with statutory regulations and MoD Mandatory requirements, adhering to all Health and Safety and Environmental standards and policies.
Oversee and manage all KPI metrics, ensuring they are achieved within the designated timeframes.
Take a proactive approach in managing all tasks, motivating teams and driving excellence through clear guidance, delegation, and sound decision-making.
Ensure the statutory and mandatory compliance of assets, providing technical support to HoE and end users to manage and mitigate risks where compliance is not achievable.
Monitor Supply Chain performance in terms of service delivery, value for money, quality, and safety to guarantee consistent achievement of performance indicators.
Ensure all tasks are logged accurately in the CAFM system, including ongoing work and completed inspections, and that all documentation related to maintenance and response work is promptly completed, recorded, and distributed.
Work closely with the Mobile Authorised Persons team to ensure adherence to JSP 375 and promote compliance among all site personnel as far as reasonably practical.
Ensure adherence to Asbestos Registers and Management Plans.
Ensure compliance with Legionella Management Plans.
Promptly and satisfactorily address all complaints and acknowledge compliments.
Conduct audits during progress and upon completion as per the Audit Management System (AMS) and capture the results.

Commercial 

  • Ensure supply chain performance is monitored and regular meetings are held to discuss delivery performance against contracted KPIs.

Corporate

  • Ensure compliance with Security and Fraud Policies and Procedures.
  • Comply with all Health and Safety and Sustainability Policies and Procedures pertaining to the job role.
  • Support all business safety initiatives.
  • Comply with the Organisation's Equality and Diversity Policy.
  • Consistently demonstrate the Company values.
  • Carry out any other duty commensurate with the position

Skill & Experience

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience of managing works in a Property/Facilities Maintenance or related field including:

           ◦ Management of the operational delivery of Estate Management tasks.

           ◦ Leading an operational team to achieve KPIs.

           ◦ Planning, directing and controlling activities.

           ◦ Ability to delegate, prioritise and manage time effectively.

  • Experience of supervising site operations, including:

           ◦ Agreeing scope and priorities of work.

           ◦ Supply chain performance management.

           ◦ Ability to solve problems and make decisions​​​.

  • Commercial acumen and awareness.
  • Ability to interface with customer at all levels.

Desirable Skills:

  • Significant practical experience in Property/Facilities Maintenance or related field.
  • Experience of operating in an MOD environment.
  • Working knowledge of CDM (Construction, Design & Management) regulations.
  • SMSTS or IOSH qualified
  • Experience of the Asbestos at Work Act, Equality at Work, energy performance, Sustainability etc.
  • Familiarity with geography and establishments within area of responsibility.
