Senior Electrical HV Tendering Engineer Overview

The Senior Electrical HV Tendering Engineer will be responsible for developing proposals for major electrical projects, including 11/33/132kV works across BESS, Solar Parks, Data Centres, and more, with values up to £15m+. The role involves collaborating with key stakeholders like Business Development, Design Engineers, and Project Managers to deliver successful proposals for both new and existing customers.

Main Duties:

  • Assess bid opportunities and evaluate risks.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of tender documents.
  • Assist in preparing tenders and quotations in collaboration with Procurement, Sub-contractors, and Suppliers.
  • Review and evaluate projects technically, including cost estimation.
  • Produce handover documentation and attend meetings to explain project scope.
  • Complete company documents and financial info, and generate management reports.
  • Build and maintain a tender database.
  • Assist with client meetings and provide technical support.
  • Mentor team members and ensure consistent proposal production.
  • Ensure compliance with HSQE policies.

What We're Looking For:

  • HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in the DNO sector and non-regulated sectors.
  • Proven track record in electrical and civil engineering with knowledge of HV & LV installations and switchgear.
  • Experience up to 132kV.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and good presentation skills.
  • Motivated, organised, and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
