The Shard is one of the UK's most iconic and prestigious buildings and is home to three of London's top restaurants. We are looking for people who are keen to join our ‘one team' family working at the Restaurant entrance as hosts. We are seeking people with the highest standards of customer service, a great attitude and excellent communication skills. Do you have these skills? Shifts & Hours:  10.5 hour shifts, varied shifts patterns/times of early, middle and late shifts 

Hourly Rate: £14.98 (Paid breaks)

Main Duties

Restaurant hosts are the responsible for providing a seamless 5 star meet and great service to the restaurant visitors at the Shard whilst managing the security operation at the restaurant entrance. This role requires officers with excellent customers service and communication skills along with an impeccable appearance. 

• Meet and great service 
• Deliver the highest levels of customer service 
• Visitor assistance 
• X-Ray screening and searches
• Queue management 
• Liaison with restaurant management  
• Managing special events 
• Maintain high levels of housekeeping 
• Incident and emergency response
• Compliance to ensure the security and safety of the Shard, building assets, visitors, staff and occupiers.
• Working as part of a close team, communicating effectively with others.
• To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner and also comply with all client and company policies and procedures.
• To undertake additional duties in line with management requests as required.

What we are looking for

• Ability to problem solve under pressure and multitask
• Written and verbal communication skills
• SIA DS Licence 
• First Aid & X-Ray Trained
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel 
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills, able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• A willingness to learn and develop and show high level of commitment
