HARD SERVICE MANAGER 
JOB OVERVIEW 
The Hard Services Manager is a key role as part of the Technical Services Team The Hard Services Manager will work within the team undertaking the development and delivery of; 
Planned and Reactive Mechanical, Electrical and Civils/Construction and Building fabric maintenance; 
Technical assurance activities and projects; 
Supporting Operational Service delivery.  
The role will have a mixture of client facing tasks as well as essential back of house development. The role will principally be based at Berkeley Power Station, but support of other sites on the contract may be required 
  The Hard Services Manager is a key role to support the Service delivery of the contract. 


 Main Duties. 
•    Undertake internal technical and statutory audits to ensure statutory compliance is in line with technical and health and safety legislative regulations and contractual obligations. 
•    Provide technical support to responsible persons in managing compliance issues e.g. statutory certification, remedial works and documentation control. 
•    Mentoring and development of all technical staff supporting maintenance activities. 
•    Support the FM Operations function in the correct and successful delivery of Statutory and mandatory PPMs, any associated corrective maintenance works and by providing suitable level of user-friendly technical information to assist them in their role. 
•    Support the FM Operations team in identifying and management of technical risks. Demonstrate ownership to ensure that the risks are mitigated and actioned as appropriate by appointed and competent persons. 
•    To assist in developing and implementing an effective asset life management system from data gained from statutory and mandatory inspections and tests. 
•    To fully support and meet all company environmental and quality requirements. 
•    To control and operate within a client driven budget. 
•    To help deliver an effective maintenance audit regime. 
•    To comply fully with all current UK and European Health & Safety Environmental Legislation. 
•    To comply fully with Mitie and client Safe Systems of Work, Standards, Policies & Procedures. 
•    Preparation of client and internal reports and audits. 


  WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 
•    Strong background in Civils/Construction, with additional knowledge of a specialist trade (i.e Electrical/HVAC) to be able to provide technical advice and leadership. 
•    Knowledge and experience of Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality systems 
•    Experience of managing multi-skilled engineering teams 
•    Experience in Life Cycle Planning/Costing 
•    Experience in successfully managing both in-house and sub-contractors within agreed financial and time constraints. 
•    Knowledge of statutory compliance and current legislation, regulations and standards. 
•    Excellent leadership and motivational people management skills
