Job Overview

  • Mitie Operational Excellence forms part of Mitie Group Operations. Operational Excellence drives business wide transformation, delivering value to our clients and empowering our employees through optimisation of every aspect of Mitie's operations to eliminate waste, reduce costs and increase productivity. Operational Excellence makes up a key part of Mitie Group Operations that supports the wider business stand out in the market by creating new products, improving productivity through simplification and standardisation, setting best-practice standards to drive the future success of Mitie.
  • To build, establish and maintain Project and Programme Management framework, standards and processes to maximise value.
  • To identify opportunities to enable delivery across various methodologies, at pace, whilst capturing the required information for reporting purposes
  • To lead the creation, monitoring and reporting tools and documentation aligned to the requirements of the projects and programmes to ensure the balance of governance alongside pace of delivery.
  • Establish effective change management support to drive the benefits delivered through Project and Programmes transformations ensuring sustainable solutions are delivered and embedded.

Develop and lead the communication and coordination between different projects, teams, and related stakeholders.

Main Duties

  •  

    ·       Establish and maintain project/ programme management standards in line with central governance requirements

    ·       Creation of communication packs and stakeholder information to support programme oversight and engagement at structured forums and ad-hoc relationship building sessions

    ·       Ongoing tracking and monitoring of delivery and escalations across a landscape of complex projects and programmes

    ·       Oversight and assessment of effectiveness of change management support to ensure committed outcomes are realised by key stakeholder groups

    ·       Demonstrate analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills alongside business acumen to ensure projects are supported to align to central governance standards and aid the programme/ project team to track delivery of outcomes to time, cost and quality

    ·       High perseverance and resourcefulness in character to drive action and proactively find ways to support the project/ programme team to deliver

    ·       Acts as a central hub for clear communication and coordination between different projects, teams, and related stakeholders

    ·       Records and reporting monitoring to enable clear visibility of delivery, escalation, acceleration of projects and benefit capture

    ·       Creation, monitoring and coordination of reporting tools and documentation, developed at appropriate cadence for relevant stakeholder groups

     

 

What we are looking for

  • Educated to Degree level (or equivalent experience)
  • Depth of experience in implementing transformational and organisational change within a variety of business environments. Experience in an outsourced service sector is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate across a diverse community of stakeholders, good networking and influencing skills. A persuasive, concise, clear verbal and written communicator.
  • Ability to work with changing priorities and with multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Experience of operating in a matrix organisation providing services across multiple locations, capabilities and stakeholder.
  • Experience of developing an engaged high performing team.
