Engineering and Compliance and Assurance Lead

Location – London with occasional travel to Cardiff and Hove

Working pattern: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

Job Overview

You will support the Account Director and site leads by creating, delivering, and monitoring all statutory and non-statutory compliance related tasks that are carried out by the site team, in accordance with the contract specific M&E technical maintenance specification to ensure the account is always contractually and legally compliant. 

You will be working together with the client, customers, and Mitie management team to progress and enhance local process and procedures and implement good compliance management practices. To improve performance as well as monitoring compliance and managing internal audits. Sample checking of compliance evidentially PPM and Reactive paperwork for both internal teams and specialist subcontractors. 

Key to the success of the role being to bring compliance improvement by the proactive utilisation of data led insights to identify risks, challenges, and opportunities and to provide a common platform for the various service delivery teams to communicate across to facilitate the clear management of internal governance to ensure that objectives are visible and disseminated at the correct level within the contract and service delivery network. 

To ensure that critical operational areas and client touchpoints within the remit of the role are maintained well and relationships managed and built upon. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring planned, reactive, and remedial tasks 
  • Improve contract performance by providing data-led insights and regular reporting of performance.
  • Produce Monthly Compliance reporting/dashboards/league tables - trending data. 
  • Ensure governance process communications are targeted at an appropriate level and that output data is comprehensive and clear.
  • To escalate risks to Mitie and L&G stakeholders in a timely fashion and at the appropriate level.

 

What we are looking for

  • Strong compliance management background to include management of compliance systems and reporting.
  • Strategic thinker, able to balance current needs with long term goals.
  • Able to communicate at a competent level with both internal and external stakeholders on subjects ranging from operational compliance to CAFM systems. 
  • Excellent business analysis skills including critical thinking and a proactive approach. 
  • Ability to design and implement new processes through operational and data models. 
  • Strong Excel Skills 
  • Excellent presentation skills both internally and client facing.
