Detention Custody Officer (DCO) – Immigration Services
Location: In-Country Escorting Services (ICE) – Luton Airport Holding Room
Contract: 42 hours per week
Salary: £31,531 per annum
Training: 4-week fully paid training course

What You'll Be Doing
As an In-Country Escorting DCO, you'll play a vital role in immigration services, ensuring the safety, care, and dignity of individuals in your custody. Your key responsibilities include:
✔️ Providing care and welfare to residents in the Holding Rooms
✔️ Escorting individuals on and off flights at Luton Airport
✔️ Transporting immigration residents safely across the UK
✔️ Driving a small minibus-sized vehicle while ensuring the welfare of those in your care
✔️ Maintaining high security and safety standards with professionalism and empathy
✔️ Working in a structured 4-on, 4-off shift pattern (2 day shifts, 2 night shifts, followed by 4 days off)
No Experience? No Problem!
We provide full training and ongoing support, so no prior experience is required. Your journey begins with a fully paid 4-week training course, including a 7-day residential program in Oxfordshire. Over the next 12 months, you'll gain hands-on experience, mentoring, and complete a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Detention and Custody.

🔹 The ability to remain composed under pressure
Experience handling challenging situations or supporting individuals in distress would be a bonus!
Essential Requirements
To apply, you must:
✅ Be a UK Citizen, Commonwealth Citizen (with indefinite leave to remain), or EEA Citizen
✅ Hold a valid UK passport (expired visas in out-of-date passports cannot be accepted)
✅ Have lived in the UK for the last 5 years continuously (no single absence over 3 months)
✅ Pass an Enhanced DBS check, employer referencing (last 5 years), and Counter-Terrorist Check (CTC) vetting
✅ Hold a full UK manual driving licence (minimum 12 months experience)
✅ Have fewer than 7 points on your licence and no driving bans in the last 12 months
✅ Pass a red/green colour-blind test (required for airside driving)
✅ Be eligible for an airside pass
