In your new role as a Cleaner you will be qualified and experienced Cleaner to work as part of a team of Cleaners within a high-profile building based in Central London. The Cleaner will be responsible for ensuring a 5* service is delivered at all times for our Mitie client. The Cleaner will ensure they adhere to the cleaning schedules. You must be confident in dealing with customers and have the drive to go over and above for all visitors, providing an exceptional customer experience.
The role will report to the Cleaning Supervisor, who will be responsible for ensuring the services delivered by the site cleaners are consistent and by contract obligations, and legal obligations (if applicable) including compliance with Health and Safety:

Establishment, deployment and compliance with Safe Systems of Work for the workplace teams.
Higher risk activities which may include Lone Working and operative exposure to potential terrorism threats and aggressive activist's activity.
Consistent standards of service delivered across the entire contract. Not limited to presentation of the workplace teams, client and end-user interface/interaction and timely reporting and escalation of issues where applicable.
The role will be both internal and external facing. In the external-facing role, the Cleaner will need to work in a collaborative manner exuding confidence and assertiveness whilst building and maintaining rapport and relationships.

Main Duties
To undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role. Individuals will be required to work within a team and can work under their own initiative.
Adhere to all Mitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures. Maintain the designated area to an agreed level of cleanliness in line with the Contract and relevant SLA's, carrying out all daily weekly and periodic tasks as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor. Ensure that the service is delivered effectively and efficiently to a high standard.
To ensure all equipment is kept clean, well-maintained and in a safe working order. To have full knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, including the agreed work specification and time allocated to facilities. To have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used by Mitie.
To build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.
Undertake any other cleaning duties requested by your line manager or supervisor. Maintain equipment and materials in a clean and safe working order, Observe and comply with site rules and regulations at all times,Ensure any appropriate warning signs are always in use. To maintain a close working relationship all service line management teams. Be the interface between tenants, clients and our service lines. To be fully conversant with the relevant buildings' Emergency and Evacuation procedures. Maintain PAT testing of equipment (trained staff only).

What we are looking for 
Cleaning experience is preferred.Cleaning floor machinery experience - Buff machines; scrubber drier; carpet machines. Reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude. Ability to work to a schedule and as part of a team. Capable of working on their initiative where appropriate. Be open and honest. Be self-driven and determined. Strive for continuous improvements in service delivery.

Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure standards are consistently applied across all locations. Drive best standards and practice. Liaison with client personnel and end users to ensure a high standard service delivery. Responsible for ensuring they are compliant with policies and procedures on Health & Safety, Quality Assurance & Environment. Follow any such reasonable instruction as issued by Senior Line Management.

Other Responsibilities
Experience of daily interaction with client, leadership team, operational management & front line teams. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing, within all levels of the business and to external parties. Customer Care - Capable of delivering results and meeting customer expectations. Self-motivated, tenacious and result-oriented with a positive outlook
