Job Overview

The Business Analysis Lead is in charge of supervising all business analyst operations and output in a project. Projects can range in size and complexity, from cases where the Business Analysis Lead will be the only analyst on the project, to cases where the Business Analysis Lead will manage the output of several analysts.

The role is the primary point of contact for the gathering of business requirements and production of relevant documentation that will be used as a basis by the relevant teams to determine how systems are designed to satisfy these requirements.

The type and nature of systems that are in scope of this role include among others: CAFM frameworks, hardware solutions, end-user needs, reporting and BI tools, mobile working solutions, resource planning and management tools, and many more.

 

Main Duties

  • Analyse the structure of the business to determine how it operates and develop cohesive documentation that describes its objectives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to assist in the creation of detailed functional and/or technical specifications.
  • Research and analyse existing business processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Read and digest contract documentation to determine how business processes should be constructed to satisfy the contained requirements and develop cohesive documentation that contains business process maps and supporting narrative.
  • Analyse requirements and translate into functional specifications for technical teams to follow and convert into systems design and functional systems.
  • Act as a customer representative for development teams during development cycles.
  • Support the entire lifecycle of contracts from bid stage, mobilisation, to further operational improvement during normal business operation.
  • Develop comprehensive end-to-end documentation packs at all systems levels and for several deliverables like business requirements, test plans, operation procedures and manuals, issue lists, etc.
  • Evolve the details of user stories and map these to the capability of existing tools around the organisation through conversations with technical teams.
  • Monitor the implementation of developed solutions and ensure that the delivered products meet all stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop and carry out briefing sessions aimed to transfer knowledge over to both operational teams as well as technology support teams.
  • Coordinate and manage UAT activities and act as a customer representative.
  • Attend product review forums and provide feedback that improves technology capability and business processes.
  • Become familiar with the products and applications in use by the organisation and develop technical skills in relevant technology areas.
  • Provide support to relevant technology teams like business analysis, technical teams and developers, testers, trainers, etc.
  • Maintain documentation as such to establish traceability from requirements to test cases.
  • Establish effective working relationships within various internal and external teams.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

 

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor or master's degree in Business Administration or Computer Science or relevant field.
  • 6-8 years of business systems analysis or relevant experience.
  • Preferable but not necessary experience in the FM industry.
  • Experience in working as a team member on development projects and execution of hardware and software solutions, systems, and products.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodology and corresponding concepts related to user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Ability to translate business requirements to functional specifications.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to execute test plans and test scripts for software applications, document expected results Vs. actual results, and record software defects.
  • Ability to manage defects and issues to resolution.
  • Technical, analytical, and development skills including the ability to provide solutions to a variety of business problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Strong organizational skills, autonomous, self-motivated, inquisitive, and open-minded.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an international environment, and willingness to travel to international destinations on short-term assignments to perform the duties of the role.
