Job Title: Administrator- Chaplaincy
Salary: £23,433.64 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full Time 
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday- 7.30AM to 5PM
Location: HMS Raleigh, Trevol Road, Torpoint, Cornwall, England, PL11 2PD

We are offering an opportunity to join a skilled, adaptable team that delivers exceptional administration services to our world-class Armed Forces personnel. This role provides administration support to the Chaplaincy Department in HMS Raleigh, responsible for day-to-day operations while delivering professional administrative, secretarial, audio typing, and word processing services to a separate business area.

As the focal point for all administration services, the successful candidate will promote best practices and ensure the contracted requirements are delivered to the appropriate quality standards. They will coordinate and greet visitors, arranging entry into the establishment and escorting them as necessary. The role also involves liaising with relevant Establishment Training Schools to coordinate and publish training plans and classroom allocations, as well as acting as the Building Custodian for the Chaplaincy business area. The individual will ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with Health and Safety regulations and the General Data Protection Regulations. Additional tasks, including supporting other administrators when required, will be assigned by the Line Manager.

We are looking for a well-organized, precise, and confident individual with strong communication skills, who is able to contribute at all levels. The ideal candidate will be versatile, intuitive, and professional, demonstrating good judgment, integrity, and discretion. They will be proactive, persuasive when necessary, and adaptable to changing business needs while remaining calm under pressure. A self-motivated, reliable, and well-presented individual is essential, as the candidate will embody MITIE's company values. The ideal candidate will also have a proven track record in delivering quality administration services with customer-facing experience, strong verbal and written communication skills, sound administrative abilities, and a high degree of integrity. A good working knowledge of MS Office applications, audio typing skills (minimum 45 wpm with greater than 90% accuracy), and a good standard of education are required.

Additional Information 

The position requires MOD security clearance and a DBS Standard. To meet national security vetting requirements, candidates must typically have been residents in the UK for at least three years to obtain a Counter Terrorist Check, five years for Security Clearance, and ten years for Developed Vetting before applying. Additionally, all Developed Vetted posts are restricted to UK Nationals. Proof of the right to work in the UK is essential. The contract operates on a 37.5-hour working week, with hours from 07:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, allowing for an early finish on Fridays. Approved company workwear must be worn while on duty.
