Job Title: Working Cleaning Supervisor
Contract Type: Permanent, Full time
Total weekly Contractual hours: 37
Shift Pattern: 9 days fortnight rota


Location: Harwell | B404 Rutherford Avenue | Harwell, Didcot | OX11 0DF

Please Note: Full UK driving licence required

BPSS security clearance is required.

We are looking for an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to work with a range of Mitie clients to manage a cleaning team, including recruitment and development of staff and maintain excellent service standards for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning for a Mitie customer. 

You will be responsible for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning. You will ensure that the cleaning staff understand and work to task schedules while following the correct Health & Safety procedures by providing technical training as and when required. You will distribute uniforms, monitor standard of cleanliness and the use of materials and order stocks as necessary. You will deal with any issues efficiently and in a professional manner, referring to line manager where appropriate. 

The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory and cleaning experience. They will have good communication skills, be reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude and they will be able to work to a schedule on their own initiative. 

 

  • To understand and ensure the Service Level Agreement and Cleaning Specification is delivered to the required standard for the client.
  • To maintain regular contact with the Facilities Manager
  • To complete monthly audit inspections with the client to the KPI set within the contract.
  • To undertake weekly Cleaning and Safety inspections
  • To build relationships and rapour with the on site client, through attendance of monthly meetings.  
  • To recognise and identify the ability to quote for additional ad-hoc work for the client, passing details onto line manager for quotation.
  • To ensure essential weekly documents are completed on site in line with policy including; weekly task sheets, custody sign off sheets.
  • To ensure adequate delivery of Health and Safety and compliance ensuring all policies and procedures are aligned with Mitie QHSE Team and the Client, ensuring all risks are mitigated efficiently and effectively.
  • To take ownership of Health & Safety for yourself and others at work
  • To review the H&S manual ensuring, electrical maintenance register is maintained and Mitielife and Accident reporting process is followed.
