We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Wireman/Fitter to join our growing team, working across substations primarily within the NGED (National Grid Electricity Distribution) region.
In this role, you'll contribute to the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of key electrical infrastructure. If you have a strong background in electrical work and a passion for working on essential infrastructure projects, we'd love to hear from you.
Carry out wiring, fitting, and earthing work on NGED substations
Follow all safety procedures, policies, and work instructions on-site
Undertake training to obtain PTW (Permit to Work) and LOA (Limitation of Access) authorisations
Maintain accurate documentation and work records
Collaborate with colleagues and contractors to ensure timely and safe project delivery
Proven experience as a Wireman or Fitter, ideally in substations or similar environments
Strong knowledge of electrical wiring and earthing systems
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and site conditions
City & Guilds 2360 or equivalent electrical qualification
SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)
IPAF (Powered Access) Certification
Telehandler Operator Training
First Aid at Work Certification
