Water Engineer

Working hours: 40 hours per week

£33,000 – £36,000 per annum (depending on experience)

We are looking for a Water Engineer to support the delivery of water treatment and hygiene services across our client sites, ensuring systems remain safe, compliant, and efficient.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in water hygiene, treatment, or commercial plumbing to join a growing and supportive business.


Role Responsibilities

  • Carry out water treatment and hygiene tasks in line with company procedures and current legislation
  • Complete allocated work within agreed timescales, ensuring high-quality standards
  • Accurately record and submit job documentation in real time via electronic systems
  • Act as lead engineer or responsible person on-site where required
  • Maintain strong Health & Safety standards for yourself, colleagues, and clients

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in water treatment, water hygiene, or related engineering discipline
  • Knowledge of industry standards (e.g. BSRIA BG29/BG50) or specialist water systems
  • NVQ Level 2 (or above) in Plumbing (or equivalent) desirable
  • Strong problem-solving, organisational, and client-facing skills
  • IT confident – able to use mobile apps and digital reporting systems

Additional Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong timekeeping and work ethic
  • Willingness to undergo DBS and security clearance checks where required

Desirable Specialist Skills

Experience or accreditation in one or more of the following:

  • Engineered water plant servicing and installation
  • Pre-commission cleaning of closed water systems
  • Cold water storage tank systems (e.g. sectional fibreglass tanks)
  • Commercial plumbing within regulated environments
