ROLE: Facilities Management Supervisor – TfL Contract
HOURS: 08:00 - 17:00 (Full-time)

Job Objectives and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supervising the delivery of all FM hard services across the TFL London Estate, ensuring compliance with Mitie Engineering Services Policies and Procedures.
  • Lead and coordinate the engineering and support teams to deliver planned and reactive maintenance, statutory compliance, and customer service excellence.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client representatives, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring all service delivery meets client (TFL) and Mitie expectations.
  • Ensure all works are completed efficiently, safely, and in line with contract SLAs and KPIs.
  • Support the Facilities Manager in operational planning, resource allocation, and performance reporting.

Main Duties

  • Supervise and motivate the FM team, ensuring high standards of performance and customer service.
  • Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive works, and statutory compliance activities.
  • Monitor work order progress and ensure accurate CAFM system updates.
  • Review and approve reports on works carried out, compliance documentation, and incident logs.
  • Ensure all team members adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks.
  • Identify and escalate operational issues, risks, or non‑compliance to the Facilities Manager.
  • Support training and development of team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain effective communication with client representatives, responding promptly to queries and feedback.
  • Drive operational excellence and innovation in FM service delivery.

Person Specification

  • City & Guilds, ONC, HNC or equivalent in a relevant engineering or FM discipline.
  • Recognised apprenticeship or supervisory experience in facilities management.
  • Relevant training certificates for the work area (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH, CAFM systems).
  • Minimum two years' supervisory experience in a similar FM role.
  • Strong understanding of building services, statutory compliance, and FM operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Experience with CAFM systems and performance reporting.
  • Full in‑depth security checks required for successful candidates.

Health and Safety Responsibilities

  • Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Ensure all team members use work equipment and PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
  • Report any deficiencies in systems of work or equipment that may risk service delivery, health and safety, or the environment.
  • Report any issues or training needs to your line manager and/or via the divisional incident reporting system.
