Job Title: Switchboard / Helpdesk Analyst
Salary: £25,760 to £27,476 per annum
Hours: 37.5 per week
Shift Pattern: Rolling rota F/T 8 weeks 24/7
Contract: Permanent

Location: Cumberland Infirmary, Newtown Road, Carlisle, Cumbria, England, CA2 7HY

This is a permanent position averaging 37.5 hours per week, worked on an 8‑week rolling rota. Owing to the operational requirements of the role, the post holder will be scheduled on a full range of shifts, including earlies, days, lates, and night shifts, as well as weekends and bank holidays. Pay enhancements are provided for unsocial working hours.

We are seeking a Switchboard/ Helpdesk Analyst to join our team. As a Switchboard Operator, you'll be the voice and first point of contact for our valued clients and visitors. With your exceptional communication skills and friendly demeanour, you'll make every caller feel welcomed and important. From routing calls to providing accurate information, you'll be the go-to person for all communication needs. 

We want someone who can manage incoming calls effectively, ensuring no one is left waiting on the line. You'll be the master of organisation, keeping track of messages and relaying them promptly to the appropriate parties. 

Here's what we're looking for in our ideal candidate: Stellar phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills; A knack for problem-solving and staying calm under pressure; Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities and proficiency in managing multiple phone lines and using switchboard systems
