Supervisor Role Overview

Act as the on-site stakeholder interface, managing the delivery of Mitie contractual outputs, including statutory, mandatory, and reactive performance indicators. Oversee small additional works projects from inception to handover.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure compliant, efficient, and timely delivery of maintenance and response works per statutory legislation, MoD requirements, Health and Safety, and Environmental standards.

  • Monitor Supply Chain teams to ensure qualified operatives with appropriate equipment, skills, and vehicles.

  • Assess Supply Chain service delivery for value, quality, and safety to meet performance indicators.

  • Review and coordinate Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and ensure Maximo system task recording.

  • Maintain compliance with JSP 375, Asbestos and Legionella management plans, and act as Responsible Person where required.

  • Work closely with Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and end-users to support estate activities, resolve issues, and provide technical advice.

  • Develop formal Additional Works project submissions, assist in complaints resolution, and support Helpdesk requests.

  • Promote a safety culture and ensure efficient, economical operations while managing stakeholder expectations and contract risks.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience managing staff in Construction, Property Maintenance, or related fields, including operational delivery, task prioritization, and site activities.

  • HNC-level qualification in Building/Civil or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • Management-level qualification in Health & Safety (IOSH).

  • Desirable: IFE Level 3 Certificate and GIFireE Qualification.
