Security SIte Manager – Capital Building, Liverpool

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Security Manager to lead the security operation at Capital Building, Liverpool. You will be responsible for the overall management of the contract, leading supervisors and officers, maintaining service excellence, and ensuring full compliance with client, contractual and company requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity for an established security professional looking to lead a high-profile government security operation while driving performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the day-to-day delivery of security services across the site, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure service delivery meets contractual requirements and client expectations
  • Provide guidance, coaching and leadership to Security Supervisors and Security Officers, helping individuals and teams perform at their best
  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients.
  • Act as the main operational point of contact for the client, ensuring effective communication and responsive support.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and operational resilience are maintained
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, training and retention activities
  • Monitor site performance against KPIs and service levels
  • Carry out regular audits, inspections and compliance checks to support continuous improvement and best practice.
  • Manage budgets, overtime and cost control measures
  • Review incident trends and implement corrective actions where required
  • Ensure all investigations, reports and documentation are completed accurately
  • Lead health and safety compliance and welfare initiatives, helping to create a positve and supportive working environment.
  • Deliver team briefings, performance reviews and development plans
  • Manage absence, welfare concerns and performance issues in accordance with company procedures
  • Promote a positive culture of professionalism, accountability and customer service
  • Maintain open and effective communication with senior management , clients and stakeholders
  • Ensure Assignment Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and contingency plans remain up to date and fit for purpose.
  • Encourage continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies
  • Support business continuity planning and emergency preparedness, helping the team remain ready to respond to changing operational needs.

What We're Looking For

  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
  • SC clearance desirable.
  • Proven experience in a security management role
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Experience managing security operations within a corporate or government environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Experience managing KPIs, audits and compliance requirements
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and operational reporting systems
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
  • Professional, resilient and customer focused approach
