Security Support Officer

Location: Rolls-Royce, Derby
Pay Rate: £13.12 per hour
Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (Days, Nights, Weekends)

We are seeking reliable and professional Security Support Officers to join our Rolls-Royce contract in Derby. Applicants must be fully flexible and able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends. Please do not apply if you are unable to commit to this shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities

Security Operations

  • Conduct access control, pass, and parking permit checks.
  • Monitor CCURE systems, CCTV, and door alarms.
  • Sign in visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers.
  • Maintain compliance with site procedures, company policies, and relevant legislation.
  • Complete all duties in accordance with Assignment Instructions (AI's).
  • Identify and recommend improvements to operational processes where appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with SIA licensing requirements and all mandatory contract training.
  • Follow instructions and procedures professionally and consistently.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required.

Training & Development

  • Complete all mandatory training and competency assessments.
  • Participate in additional training as required.
  • Maintain and develop professional knowledge and skills.
  • Ensure SIA licences are renewed at least 16 weeks before expiry.

Security, Safety & Incident Management

  • Report all Health & Safety concerns and potential hazards immediately.
  • Remain vigilant to security threats and operational risks.
  • Use initiative and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Maintain professional conduct when dealing with challenging situations.
  • Complete accurate incident reports and notebook entries.
  • Conduct scheduled check calls as required.
  • Notify emergency services and the Communication Centre of incidents when necessary.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous security experience.
  • Valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervision Licence.
  • Ability to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Professional, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
