Security Supervisor at RAF Scampton (4-Month Contract), Mitie

At Royal Airforce - Scampton, we're looking for a motivated and proactive Security Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of a dynamic site. • Contract Duration: 4 months
• Pay Rate: £15.75/hour
• Weekly Hours: 48 hours, 4on, 4off
• Shifts:
  • Day shifts: 07:00 – 19:00
  • Night shifts: 19:00 – 07:00
  • Vehicle Patrols: 09:00 – 20:00

What We're Looking For

• Experience: Proven background in security, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Licenses:
  • SIA Door Supervisor (DS) license required.
  • Driving license (essential as you will be expected to do mobile patrols).
• Skills:
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergencies.
• Security Clearance: SC Clearance is advantageous.

Your Role as a Supervisor

Lead the Team

• Manage site access by verifying visitor lists, signing in/out, and providing short site inductions for contractors.
• Maintain control during incidents, ensuring swift and effective responses.
• Act as the key point of contact for security staff and clients, maintaining a professional and approachable presence.

Patrol and Protect

• Conduct hourly vehicle patrols of the airfield, ensuring hazard lights are used and all areas, including roads and gates, are secure.
• Inspect gates, fences, and buildings for damage or security risks, reporting issues promptly.
• Respond to incidents of intrusion or damage with urgency, contacting police or emergency services when required.

Operations and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Assignment Instructions (AI's) and regularly review them to enhance service standards.
• Uphold legal obligations, including wearing your SIA license at all times.
• Promote a culture of safety and vigilance among your team.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Health & Safety: Proactively identify and report hazards to prevent incidents.
• Training: Stay ahead with additional training and ensure team members are skilled and prepared.
• Incident Reporting: Keep detailed and accurate logs to ensure clarity in incident resolution.
• Team Oversight: Motivate and guide your team to achieve high standards of performance and professionalism.
