Security Service Engineer - London 

Job Summary: 

The Electronic Security Systems Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, video entry, and integrated security solutions. This role ensures that all systems are operating efficiently, safely, and in accordance with industry standards and client requirements. The engineer plays a critical role in maintaining system integrity, minimizing downtime, and delivering high-quality technical support to clients, thereby enhancing security and customer satisfaction. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Install, configure, commission and maintain electronic security systems including CCTV, access control, intruder alarms and video entry  
• Perform routine maintenance, reactive maintenance and system health checks to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. 
• Diagnose and repair faults in security systems, minimizing system downtime and maintaining client security. 
• Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns promptly, providing effective on-site support. 
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding system operation and functionality. 
• Keep accurate records of service visits, maintenance reports, and fault resolutions. 
• Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and subcontractors to ensure timely project delivery. 
• Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, industry codes of practice, and company procedures. 
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and security solutions through continuous learning. 
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition. 
• Adhere to health and safety policies and promote a safe working environment at all times

• Technical Accuracy: Ensure fault diagnosis and repairs are conducted with precision and that systems are restored to full operational status. 
• Inventory Management: Accountable for managing tools, spare parts, and equipment assigned to the role, ensuring availability and readiness for service tasks. 
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for service improvement and contribute to the development of best practices. 
• Security Integrity: Safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of client security systems and related data.
