Dedicated Relief Officer

We are looking for an experienced Distribution Security Officer  to be part of our dedicated relief team.  To help us deliver a diverse and inclusive customer focused experience supporting the clients facilities operation on location through the delivery of a security function as agreed within the assignment instructions.  To that end, the officer is part of a security team acting as ambassadors and experts on security matters, protecting people, property and supporting compliance to processes, escalating issues and embodying Mitie's core values at every opportunity.

We are looking for candidates who are  trustworthy, attentive, and approachable. Who are confident welcoming and engaging clients and visitors in a reception environment as well as supporting with searches and patrols. Proactively, you will highlight any breaches of security procedures through monitoring the Site, Fire, Intruder and CCTV systems and report to the Site Security Manager by recording, reporting and escalating incidents through the established processes using good, strong English communication both spoken and written.

A Dedicated Relief Officer needs to be flexible to pick up planned holidays and absences.

Responsibilities will include:

  • creating a safe and welcoming working environment,
  • being aware and trained on site processes to ensure and support compliance to contract SLA/KPI and Health and Safety.
  • responding to any on site incidents, and requesting assistance or assuming control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Duty Manager. 
  • acting in accordance to Mitie and Client values with empathy and integrity.

The role requires competency in Microsoft office packages to help support the 4 shifts with compliance to audits, updating logs, trackers and replying to emails.

Working as a team is vital as this candidate must engage, integrate and support an existing and inclusive team.

The Core  team works 12 hour shifts in a:

  • four days on,
  • four off,
  • four nights on,
  • four off pattern 

with expectation of extra shifts to support officers holiday entitlement with priority for extra shifts going to the dedicated relief. A successful candidate becoming our dedicated relief will work out of pattern to support  the team.

Full site Officer and Supervisor training will be provided to the candidate.

 The Officer rate is £12.92
