Location: Various retail sites, including B&Q and other client locations
Position: Relief Security Officer
Hours: Flexible / Relief Cover maximium 8hrs per week
Salary: £13.70 Per Hr

About the Role

We are looking for reliable, professional and customer-focused Relief Security Officers to join our team, providing security cover across B&Q and other retail contracts as required.

As a Relief Security Officer, you will play an important role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, colleagues and client property. You will be required to work across different locations when cover is needed, so flexibility and a willingness to travel are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a visible and professional security presence on retail sites.
• Protect the client's premises, staff, customers and property.
• Carry out regular patrols and security checks.
• Prevent and respond appropriately to theft, loss and security incidents.
• Monitor CCTV and other security systems where required.
• Deal professionally with customers, contractors and members of staff.
• Report incidents, accidents and suspicious activity promptly.
• Complete daily occurrence books, reports and other required documentation.
• Follow site procedures, company policies and client instructions.
• Support the site team during busy periods and provide cover at other contracts when required.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and contact the relevant authorities when necessary.
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism, appearance and customer service.

About You

• A valid SIA licence holder.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• Confident communicating with customers and colleagues.
• Able to remain calm and professional in difficult situations.
• Observant and able to identify and report security risks.
• Flexible and willing to work at different retail locations when required.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a busy retail environment.
