Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday - 40 Hours 

At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day. We're looking for a QHSE Advisor to support our teams on site, helping to ensure safe, compliant and high‑quality ways of working across the contract.

In this role, you'll work closely with operational teams to embed a strong QHSE culture, reduce risk, and ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental legislation.

Due to the travel within the role, the ideal location to be based for this role is Western Scotland. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide competent QHSE advice and support to on‑site operational teams to enable safe and compliant delivery of services
  • Promote a positive QHSE culture and support continuous improvement across the contract
  • Review, update and maintain risk assessments, method statements and site documentation
  • Support incident investigations, audits and inspections, ensuring actions are tracked and closed out
  • Keep up to date with relevant legislation and best practice, sharing knowledge with colleagues as required

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role:

  • NEBOSH Certificate in Health & Safety (or equivalent), inc. CDM
  • Understanding of ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001
  • Ability to prepare, review and understand risk assessments and method statements
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment (e.g. nuclear, construction or similar)

What we're looking for

  • A proactive and approachable individual who enjoys supporting others to work safely
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience within Construction or Power & Grid including the knowledge of Lifting Operations, Working at Heights
  • Environmental qualification such as AIEMA and/or audit experience (desirable, not essential)
  • A willingness to learn, develop and continuously improve QHSE standards on site
