ROLE: Protection & Control Design Engineer
HOURS: 40 hours per week
LOCATION: Hybrid

We're looking for a Protection & Control (P&C) Design Engineer who will support our high‑voltage engineering team and contribute to the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our clients' electrical networks.

Role Responsibilities:

Design, specification, and configuration of protection and control systems for HV and EHV substations.
Ensure adherence to protection philosophies and project requirements.
Check and approve design deliverables from internal teams and manufacturers.
Produce technical documents, reports, settings, and specifications.
Lead development of P&C schemes up to 400 kV including SLDs, wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, and schedules.

Required Qualifications:

Degree, HND, or HNC in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems preferred).
Demonstrable experience designing HV/EHV protection systems (11 kV–400 kV).
Experience with numerical relays (Siemens, GE, ABB, SEL).
Knowledge of IEC 61850, CT/VT characteristics, and SCADA systems.
Familiarity with ENA, IEC, and DNO/TSO standards.
