Location: Birmingham
Working pattern: Monday to Friday | 40 hours per week | 8am - 5pm

At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day. We're looking for an experienced and analytical Performance Manager to lead performance reporting and continuous improvement across the Home Office Total Facilities Management contract.

You will work closely with senior leaders, operational teams, client stakeholders and supply chain partners to ensure contractual obligations and key business metrics are accurately measured, monitored and communicated.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate contractual performance reporting, ensuring information is accurate, evidence-based and submitted within agreed timescales.
  • Monitor performance against key performance indicators, service levels and contractual requirements, identifying trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop performance reports, dashboards and management information packs using operational, compliance, asset, customer and supply chain data.
  • Maintain oversight of contractual performance mechanisms, including service credits, deductions, thresholds and mitigation processes, supporting proactive resolution of potential issues.
  • Present performance findings at governance forums and review meetings, supporting root-cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role:

  • Previous experience within performance management, reporting, business intelligence, management information or contract management.
  • Demonstrable experience of monitoring KPIs, analysing complex data and producing reporting solutions that support operational decision-making.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas and data analysis techniques.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to transform complex contractual and operational data into clear, meaningful insights.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to present findings to senior leaders and client representatives.
  • A commercially aware and highly organised approach, with the ability to challenge data constructively and investigate discrepancies.
  • Experience using Power BI or a similar reporting and visualisation platform, with an understanding of data governance, reporting controls and performance assurance.
  • Experience within facilities management, public sector outsourcing, government contracts or large-scale service delivery would be advantageous.

Experience using CAFM platforms such as MRI Evolution, Maximo, IBM MAS or similar systems would also be beneficial, alongside exposure to contract mobilisation, transition activities, audit programmes or contractual performance mechanisms.

What's in It for You?

  • The opportunity to support one of the UK's most significant government facilities management contracts.
  • A highly visible role with exposure to senior leaders, client stakeholders, operational teams and supply chain partners.
  • The chance to shape reporting frameworks, governance processes, performance controls and continuous improvement activity across an evolving contract.
