Position: Operations Manager
Location: St George's University of London Hospital - London
Role: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours
Shift pattern: Working 5 days over a 7-day week
Mitie have a brand new opportunity within the team for an Operations Manager to help support operational business plans to improve soft service quality, profitability and staff engagement in a healthcare environment.
Main duties: |
- Responsible for all staffing related activities of the soft service delivery, ensuring the effective deployment of staff within budgetary constraints to provide the contracted service to the Trust. - Review reports relating to the services and response times to ensure that ongoing service improvements are recommended as a result of changing Trust activity. - Manages and controls contractors in an efficient and cost-effective manner whilst ensuring that they are compliant and delivering a cost-effective service as set out in the commercial agreements and legislation. - Manages small works and intermediate projects as set out by the Head of Operations or Director of Healthcare. - Ensures the provision and delivery of services meet/exceed the standards defined in the Service Level Agreement and is aligned with the client's Property strategies; - Manages the contract in accordance with the Service Level Agreement and ensure that two-way communications are in place and effective with the Site Customer, NHS Team and Sub-contractors; - Establishes and manages the operational budgets for all services delivered and managed by Mitie. - Manages the financial requirements and monitor performance against the set budget. - Plans, allocates and evaluates work carried out by individuals, teams and self & provides and organises information for action - Ensuring that the contractual elements relating to the services are understood by all the team and that SLAs are achieved
Responsible for fostering a culture of safety within the organization. This involves promoting awareness and understanding of health and safety issues and encouraging staff to take an active role in maintaining a safe environment. Establish and sustain strong client relationships, ensuring their needs and expectations are met. At the same time, we must effectively oversee our supervisors, providing them with clear guidance and support to ensure they can successfully lead their teams. |
