We are seeking a skilled and experienced NGED Authorised Wireman/Fitter to join our team, working on NGED substations across the region.
In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of critical electrical infrastructure. You'll be trusted with key responsibilities including wiring, fitting, and managing safety systems — supporting the successful delivery of essential projects.
Perform wiring, fitting, and earthing works on NGED substations.
Hold and manage Permit to Work (PTW) and Limitation of Access (LOA) systems.
Ensure all works are carried out safely and in compliance with NGED policies and procedures.
Collaborate with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver projects efficiently.
Maintain accurate documentation and records of work completed.
Current NGED Authorisation as a Wireman/Fitter.
Valid PTW and LOA certification.
Proven experience working on electrical substations.
Strong knowledge of wiring, fitting, and earthing practices.
Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Flexible approach with the ability to adapt to changing project priorities.
City & Guilds 2360 or equivalent electrical qualification.
SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme).
IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) certification.
Telehandler Operator Training certification.
First Aid at Work certification.
