ROLE: Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer
HOURS: Full Time
LOCATION: Hull Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC), Hull

At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day. We're looking for a Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer to deliver safe, compliant and reliable maintenance services across Hull CDC, acting as the site electrical lead while providing multi-skilled engineering support to ensure service continuity in a live healthcare environment.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance across the site, including fault finding, diagnosis, repair and replacement of LV distribution, lighting, small power systems and emergency lighting.
  • Act as the site electrical lead, supporting safe isolation, lock-off/tag-out procedures, electrical testing and inspection activities, minor installation works and compliance with BS 7671 standards.
  • Provide first-line multi-skilled engineering support, including minor plumbing repairs, basic HVAC fault finding, plant checks, building fabric maintenance and contractor support.
  • Work safely within clinical, patient-occupied and diagnostic areas, liaising with healthcare teams to minimise disruption to imaging suites, treatment areas and consultation spaces.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records on the CAFM system, support audits and inspections, manage contractors, and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, permits-to-work and infection prevention standards.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
  • Proven experience within commercial, healthcare or other critical environments.
  • Demonstrable multi-skilled maintenance capability, including electrical fault finding and building services maintenance.
  • IT literacy sufficient to use CAFM systems, mobile devices, email and Microsoft applications.

What's in it for you?

  • The opportunity to work within a patient-critical healthcare environment, supporting essential diagnostic services.
  • Ongoing training and development, including opportunities to gain Authorised Person or Competent Person qualifications.
  • A supportive team environment where safety, professionalism, customer service and continuous improvement are valued.
