Main Duties
Manage the register of structures and Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) asset database and all other relevant record systems, ensuring the application of all current and relevant policies and procedures.
Appointed Person (WaH) for MoD structures within Sovereign Base Areas & other MOD sites in Cyprus.
A good knowledge of and compliance with the Health & Safety policy and regulations consistent with their responsibilities. In particular the WaH Regulations 2005, LOLER 98 & JSP375 Pt2 Vol3 Chap 7.
Supervise Mitie staff and Contractors to ensure that their work is carried out to agreed standards.
To maintain technical and administrative records and provide information as required.
Early identification of engineering, business and service delivery risks.
Accountable for reporting timely and appropriate monthly management information for business review purposes.
Advise local managers & engineering staff on solutions to structure related problems.
Be prepared to deal with M&T related problems at short notice out of normal working time in sometimes extremely unpleasant conditions.
Apply safety practises correctly and maintain safety equipment to agreed standards. Specify rigging techniques & safety systems and contribute to the development of new working practises.
Health & Safety of others and self who may be affected by work activities.
Coordinate and complete appraisals for Rigger Mechanics and Rigger Handyman.
Any other duties within the purview of the post which may be reasonably required by line management or DIO.
A competent experienced manger who will develop and promote business growth in line with Mitie Strategy.
Promote Mitie Brand Awareness and enhance company reputation.
Develop positive relationships with all the Key Contacts, developing good working relationships throughout the Contract and other stakeholders including Defence Infrastructure Organisation and BFC Command.
Demonstrate, through effective delivery, high standards in the implementation of QSHE policies, processes and practices.
Attend all client and stakeholder critical meetings.
Planning and Organising schedules, events, activities and resources. Monitors timescales and plans Persuasiveness - Influences, convinces or impresses others in a way that results in acceptance, agreement or behaviour change.
Good communication skills - speak clearly, fluently and in a compelling manner to both individuals and groups. Written English in a clear and concise manner, using appropriate grammar, style and language for the reader.

Able to liaise with a Structural Engineer.
A minimum of three years climbing experience on masts & towers up to 150m and thorough knowledge of rigging practices.
A good knowledge & understanding of WaH regulations 2005 & JSP 375 Pt 2 Volume 3 Chapters 2 and 7.
Good keyboard & IT skills.
Experience of basic mechanical maintenance skills.
Basic knowledge of Electrical Systems.
Experience of interpreting support structure drawings.
Knowledge & understanding of LOLER 98 and RF hazards.
