You will work across a variety of manufacturer systems such as Daikin, Mitsubishi, Midea, Toshiba, and LG. The ideal candidate will be comfortable interpreting installation designs and manufacturer-specific diagnostics, as well as liaising with technical support teams when required. Accurate completion of documentation - including inspection reports and records of remedial work - is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service, maintenance, and repair of AC systems and occasional refrigeration equipment

  • Operate across multiple sites within the education and local government sectors

  • Complete work-related documentation accurately and promptly

  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure high standards are maintained

Key Requirements:

  • Full, valid UK driving licence

  • Physically fit, with the ability to carry out manual handling, work at heights, and in confined spaces

  • Strong communication skills and proficiency with PDAs or handheld devices

  • Self-motivated and solutions-focused

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Background in Maintenance or Facilities Management

  • FGAS & ODS regulations certified

  • C&G Level 3 / NVQ or equivalent, with a time-served apprenticeship

  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, Permit to Work procedures, and safe systems of work

This is an excellent opportunity to grow within Mitie, with access to ongoing training, development, and clear progression routes

Mitie is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all employees to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

If you are working in regulated activity please note that you are subject to the following:

  • It is a criminal offence for people who are barred from working regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with that particular group (i.e. vulnerable adults, children or both).
  • This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and Mitie is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children or vulnerable adults.
