This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in delivering high standards and wants to develop their career within Facilities Management.

You'll lead a team of 10 Mobile Cleaning Operatives – 7 core team members and 3 relief operatives – travelling across London and delivering a range of planned and periodic cleaning activities.

This is a working supervisor role, so you'll lead from the front: organising the team, checking standards and managing day-to-day delivery while working alongside your team when required.

For the right person, this role can also be a genuine stepping stone into a Service Support Manager position and further management opportunities within Mitie.

     Why join us?

Company van provided – and kept by you
Lead a team of 10+ mobile cleaners
Monday to Friday working – no standard weekend rota
Overtime available, including opportunities at standard and enhanced rates
20 days annual leave + Public Holidays
Clear career progression – this role can lead into Service Support Manager and wider operational management positions
Varied mobile role across London – you won't be stuck in the same building every day
Access to Mitie training, qualifications and development opportunities
    Employee recognition through Mitie Stars
Access to Mitie employee benefits and discounts

    ⸻

What will you be responsible for?

As our Mobile Cleaning Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and operational delivery of our mobile cleaning team across London Fire Brigade locations.

You'll manage a team consisting of 7 core Mobile Cleaning Operatives and 3 Relief Cleaning Operatives, ensuring work is properly planned, completed safely and delivered to the required standard.

You'll be trusted to take ownership of your team and your workload.

    Your responsibilities will include:

Leading, motivating and supporting a team of 10 Mobile Cleaning Operatives
Planning and coordinating daily and scheduled cleaning activities across multiple locations
Working alongside the team to complete cleaning activities when required
Coordinating and supporting deep cleans, periodic cleans and specialist cleaning tasks
Carrying out regular quality inspections and ensuring cleaning standards are consistently achieved
Making sure planned cleaning schedules are completed on time
Training, coaching and supporting team members to improve performance
Supporting the onboarding and training of new employees
Ensuring Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work are followed
Managing cleaning materials, consumables, equipment and stock
Ensuring equipment is correctly used, maintained and stored
Coordinating the mobile team effectively across London
Building strong working relationships with London Fire Brigade colleagues and other stakeholders
Using Mitie systems, mobile applications and email to manage operational activity
Identifying problems early and taking action to resolve them
Looking for opportunities to improve standards, productivity and the way the service is delivered
Escalating operational issues to management where additional support is required
