Maintenance & Compliance Manager

Cornwall Region - Full Time (Full Driving License Required)

Hours - Monday to Friday - 8am - 5pm with participation within call-out rota when required

As Maintenance & Compliance Manager, you'll lead a team of mobile tradespeople and subcontractors to deliver a compliant, efficient, and high-quality maintenance service. You'll be a key player in upholding safety, compliance, and operational excellence across our schools.

What are the main responsibilities?  

You will manage the PPM planner to ensure statutory and mandatory compliance as well as overseeing remedial works and reviewing worksheets ensuring timely upload of certifications and admin completion. You will also:

  • Leading on health & safety for staff and subcontractors
  • Scheduling and coordinating the mobile workforce
  • Collaborating with FM and PM teams on reactive and planned works
  • Conducting site audits and supporting stakeholder inspections
  • Participating in stakeholder meetings and social value initiatives
  • Supporting reporting, data validation, and finance collaboration

What are we looking for? 

We are looking for someone with experience working on Technical Compliance within an FM environment, ideally PFI or education sites. You will hold an IOSH with knowledge in the Health & Safety field as well as:

  • A strong communicator and team leader with experience in FM
  • Organised, proactive, and confident in managing multi-trade teams
  • Technically qualified or with relevant further education
  • Comfortable with IT systems and administrative processes
  • Flexible, reliable, and committed to doing the job right—first time
