Junior Commissioning Engineer

We are looking to appoint a Junior Commissioning Engineer to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to develop within a supportive environment. You will work closely with experienced Commissioning Engineers and Project Managers, gaining hands-on experience across projects from inception through to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with commissioning of CCTV, Fire, Intruder, Access Control, and Nurse Call systems across various projects
  • Support Project Managers and senior engineers with technical and contractual project requirements
  • Attend sites to assist with installation checks, commissioning activities, and system testing
  • Support system handovers, including basic client demonstrations and training
  • Learn and apply current industry standards to ensure systems are delivered safely and to a high standard
  • Work collaboratively with installation teams, subcontractors, and internal departments
  • Assist with preparing documentation such as RAMS, progress reports, and O&M manuals
  • Support technical audits and ensure compliance with company and NSI standards
  • Review engineer job packs with guidance from senior team members
  • Develop time management and organisational skills to meet project deadlines
  • Use company software and tools to assist in system configuration and commissioning
  • Maintain a strong focus on health & safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Travel to sites as required across the UK

Who We're Looking For

  • A motivated individual with energy, drive, and enthusiasm to build a career in Fire & Security
  • Basic technical knowledge or a relevant qualification in Fire & Security systems (or similar field)
  • A willingness to learn and develop knowledge across multiple systems
  • Strong communication skills and a professional attitude
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively
  • Comfortable working both independently (with support) and as part of a team
  • Customer-focused with a desire to deliver high-quality service
  • Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic IT/computer skills
  • Full UK driving licence
