Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and safety‑focused High-Level Cleaning Operative to carry out specialist cleaning tasks at height across a range of environments. The successful candidate must hold a valid IPAF licence (3a/3b preferred) or be willing to be put through the IPAF Training. Previous experience of operating MEWPs would be an advantage.

This role is physically demanding and requires excellent attention to detail, safe working practices, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team and reports to contract manager.

Key tasks

• Carry out high‑level cleaning using MEWPs, access platforms, and other equipment.
• Operate IPAF-certified machinery (such as scissor lifts and boom lifts) in accordance with safety regulations.
• Use specialist cleaning tools (vacuum systems, long-reach equipment, pressure washers, etc.).
• Follow site-specific risk assessments, Cleaning work instructions (CWI's), and method statements (RAMS).
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures, including PPE requirements.
• Identify and report potential hazards or maintenance issues.
• Maintain cleaning equipment to high standards and record usage/defects.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to complete scheduled tasks efficiently.
• Ensure all work areas are left clean, safe, and secure on completion.

Essential Requirements

• Valid IPAF licence (categories 3a & 3b highly desirable) or willing to train towards certification.
• Proven experience in high-level or industrial cleaning.
• Strong understanding of health & safety practices, including working at height regulations.
• Ability to follow method statements and risk assessments.
• Physically fit with the ability to work at height for extended periods.
• Good communication skills and strong attention to detail
