Mitie is offering an exciting opportunity to become our Guest Services Supervisor, working at York Roc with occasional travel to other sites in the Eastern Region. You'll lead our Guest Services team, ensuring top-tier customer service for one of our prestigious clients.

Your Role and Responsibilities
- Deliver Outstanding Service
- Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are consistently met.
- Drive service standards, ensuring the team follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provide training and lead by example to establish service excellence
-Take part in the Signature newsletter along side other Guest Services colleagues
- Align team objectives with company goals.
- Identify and implement improvements and innovative practices.
- Support on-site projects and wider business initiatives.
Health, Safety, and Wellbeing:
- Investigate potential hazards and incidents.
- Deliver toolbox talks and conduct risk assessments.
- Promote a culture of health and wellbeing within the team.
People Management:
- Take charge of the recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of the team.
- Oversee performance reviews and professional Development Plans.
- Manage absences, ensuring service coverage in line with service level agreements.
- Nurture team morale and proactively motivate your colleagues.
Finance and Commercial Awareness:
- Track budgets for uniforms, travel, training, and absence cover.
- Highlight potential financial risks and liaise with your Line Manager appropriately.
Engagement and Communication:
- Drive team engagement through reward programmes and initiatives.
- Promote clear team communications aligned to company values.
- Host regular team meetings and share updates with management.
- Act as the main point of contact for our clients and stakeholders.
- Build strong professional relationships that benefit the team and support client objectives.
Additional Duties:
- Support Guest Services across York Roc and other Eastern Region sites as needed.
- Build relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and guests while ensuring a culture of customer excellence.
- Conduct audits and inspections, identifying solutions to refine service delivery.
- Manage site cover during unplanned absences.
What We're Looking For:
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in customer service roles (e.g. reception, hospitality, administration).
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Comfortable travelling to sites in York, Doncaster, Leeds, and Derby, Huddersfield (full UK driving desirable but not essential).
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel).
Desirable Qualifications:
- An IOSH Certificate would be advantageous but not essential.
- Candidates should hold A-Level qualifications (or equivalent).
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
- Always adhere to Mitie's policies and procedures.
- Use equipment and PPE correctly.
- Report risks, deficiencies, or training needs to your Line Manager.
