GSOC Relief Operator

Relief Position Pay Rate: £19.36 p/h

Overview

The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Relief Operator is a critical support role that ensures operational resiliency and peak performance within the GSOC. Leveraging industry best practices, you will proactively identify, analyze, and manage incidents that could potentially impact the business, client brand, or employees. This position provides essential, hands-on support to bolster staffing and assists regional security teams across all phases of crisis and non-crisis incident management, ensuring timely, accurate communication of critical information to leadership.

 

Reports To: DC GSOC Operations Manager

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Act as the GSOC primary POC to address business disruptions, incident response and crisis management in providing general assistance to the relevant Global Security Teams.
  • Coordinate with security and GSOC management to assist regional security teams with incident response and operational needs.
  • Provide oversight to routinely support GS and DC operations, in line with established post orders, response protocols and SOPs.
  • Liaise with physical security to dispatch officers, ERT, facilities, police, fire, and EMS personnel in line with client protocols and operational guidance documents.
  • Communicates and disseminates information, using established communication vehicles, to key partners using best practices.
  • Maintain various records of communications and events.
  • Use multiple internal and external resources to gather and manage information, intelligence, and incidents.
  • Informs (without delay) the regional TOC of any missing, damaged, or inoperative equipment or communications, alarm, CCTV, or other systems.
  • Works with the regional TOC to maintain routine security system end user health checks, identifying and mitigating issues that arise.

 

Special skills and attributes include:

  • Relevant security experience, licensing, and certificates as applicable.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-ask, discerns patterns in detail.
  • Strong decision-making ability during both crisis and non-crisis situations.
  • Able to work with highly confidential information.
