We're proud to support the UK Armed Forces as the Hard FM contractor for the MOD estate in the Falkland Islands. Our dedicated team of 150 professionals keeps everything running from accommodation to airfields on this remote and vital military base.  

We're now looking for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our Additional Works Department, which designs and delivers infrastructure improvement projects ranging from £25k to £4m. This is a unique opportunity to take full commercial and financial responsibility for a diverse portfolio of works in a truly distinctive location. 

What You'll Be Doing  

• Lead commercial and financial management of lifecycle replacement, refurbishment, and new-build projects.  
• Produce budget estimates using historical data, schedule of rates, and supply chain input.  
• Prepare and manage tender documentation and processes via e-Tendering platforms.  
• Evaluate tender returns and prepare client reports with recommendations.  
• Monitor project progress, identify scope changes, and maximise revenue.  
• Assess milestone payments and manage cashflow.  
• Advise on contractual matters and maintain meticulous records.  
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery.  
• Attend site visits and stakeholder meetings. 

What You'll Bring  

Essential:  

• Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Strong understanding of standard contracts (NEC preferred).  
• Experience in estimating, procurement, and tendering processes.  
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and measurement rules (SMM7, NRM, CESMM).  
• CSCS card and full clean UK (or equivalent) driving licence.  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Project).  
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.  
• Able to obtain BPSS clearance, medical clearance, and Falklands work permit.  

Desirable:  

• Experience with schedule of rates (PSA, NSR), CAFM systems (Maximo), and varied asset types.  
• Familiarity with MOD JSP standards and public procurement rules.  
• Understanding of overseas logistics and shipping constraints.  
• Membership of RICS, CIOB, or similar professional body.
