Job Title : Flooring Technician – Flexi Shift

Location : Gatwick Airport

Shift Pattern : Flexi Shift.

Working Hours : 4 on 4 off nights with occasional days (1 in 5 weeks). 10 hour nights, 20:00 – 06:00, 12 hour days 06:00 – 18:00.

Salary : upto £34,908.44 + £4836.24 shift allowance.

Job Overview :

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Flooring Technician to join our growing engineering team. Working in a challenging and diverse role where no two days are the same.

Working with our skilled flooring team to provide delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services to a high standard.

Main Duties :

• Carry out work in a safe manner in accordance with site rules and regulations.
• Appreciation of industry standard safe working practices including permit to work systems, COSHH, risk assessments and accident/incident reporting.
• Ensure that all work is undertaken within the job holder's own level of demonstrated competence.
• Ad hoc duties as requested by your management team.
• Working alongside the floor tiling team assisting with the removal and replacement of damaged tiles and the transportation of goods.

What we are looking for :

• Good all-round knowledge of flooring products, adhesives, preparation materials, and industry standards.
• Experience in a commercial environment preferred over domestic.
• Flooring industry NVQ qualification preferred or provide evidence of experience within the trade.
• Contractor accredited training preferred (such as Altro contractor training).
• Good working knowledge of flooring installations consisting of Marmoleum, LVT and rubber-based flooring is essential.
• Ability to Hot Weld resilient floor coverings is essential.
• Good knowledge of sub-floor preparation and remedial installation works is essential.
• Willingness to work alongside our floor tiler and undertake ceramic and porcelain tile repairs.
• Full driving licence
