• To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.
• Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.
• To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.

• Shift pattern 12-hour shifts working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern consisting of 4 days, 4 off 4 nights

   

  Must hold a Valid SIA License

  Must Hold a Full Uk Driving license

   

  • Do you want to work at DP World Southampton? We are Looking for Female officers to join our team here at Mitie DP World, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern to ensure our client's property, people and Assets are always protected as per the ISPS code and in direct accordance with the sites Published Assignment instructions. The port is operational every day of the year.

   

  Essential Information

  • Valid SIA License 
  • Must hold a full Driving License
  • Must be able to work shifts current shift pattern is 4 Days and then 4 off then 4 Nights

   

  Job Overview

  • To protect the port facilities restricted areas in compliance with the ISPS code. 
  • To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's)  
  • Gate house duties including operating gates and barriers to allow access/egress.
  • Searching of persons, of same sex, vehicles and plant machinery as required
  • Pass issuing/checking
  • Patrolling the restricted areas as required by the supervisory team. 
  • Completing paperwork as required
  • Responding to incidents as directed by the supervisory and management team. 
  • Ensuring the port is always secure
  • Full training in the role will be provided
  • Ensuring the site is protected at all times
  • And ensuring we give good customer service at all times
  • Other duties as required.

   

  What we are looking for:

  We are looking for someone who has the ability to communicate with people at all levels, including outside agencies and Authorities.

  • Act as an ambassador for Mitie and the Client
  • Smart in Appearance
  • Have good verbal and communication skills
  • Can write reports clearly and concisely
  • Has the ability to work on their own and within a team Possesses basic computer skills
  • Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site
  • To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
  • Ensure that the port is protected at all times
  • Be vigilant and observant
  • Able to work 12hr shifts working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern which includes, days, Nights, Weekends etc

   

  Training

  • Full training to undertake your role will be provided. 
  • Additional training is available for other site-specific roles.
  • We also offer the opportunity to enhance your skill set by completing an Apprenticeship in security.
