ROLE: Facilities Manager
HOURS: 40 hours per week
LOCATION: Luton, LU4 9FJ

We're looking for a Facilities Manager who will provide operational leadership and Facilities Management support across school sites, ensuring contractual compliance, excellent service delivery, and strong client relationships.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support operational teams to deliver Facilities Management services in line with contractual requirements, KPIs and Mitie standards.
  • Monitor service delivery performance, compliance, planned preventative maintenance programmes, and subcontractor performance across multiple school sites.
  • Support the Account Manager with contract management, budgeting, procurement activities, lifecycle projects, and contract variations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, school representatives, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, safeguarding requirements, auditing processes, and contractual obligations while producing regular performance reports.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

  • Relevant Facilities Management qualification or demonstrable experience within a similar Facilities Management environment, supported by continuous professional development.
  • Proven experience managing Facilities Management contracts, with strong knowledge of compliance, stakeholder management, service delivery, and operational performance.
  • Strong commercial, financial, communication, people management, problem-solving, and IT skills, including competency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
