Job Overview:

The role requires managing and supporting teams to meet contract requirements and service delivery standards in line with MITIE's values. Guidance must be provided to site teams to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in a timely manner, ensuring that budgets and specifications are met. Controls must be in place through audits to monitor and manage services delivered by MITIE and subcontractors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the single site is well managed and all facilities management tasks are carried out to the highest level which include PPMs, Remedial and Reactive works.
  • Maintaining accurate contract administration and record-keeping during site visits is essential.
  • Ensuring planned preventative maintenance, projects, and lifecycle works are effectively scheduled to minimize disruption for users.
  • Collaborating with the Regional Account Manager on procurement, variations, and contract changes is required to deliver value for money.
  • Oversee the selection, training, and retention of staff in line with MITIE's HR policies while supporting their career development and succession planning.
  • Managing day-to-day staff issues such as recruitment, discipline, and development.
  • Assessing damage jobs for cost recovery

 

What we're looking for:

  • Extensive experience operating as a Facilities Manager or equivalent.
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Having an electrical background would be highly desirable.
  • Computer literate with MS Office applications and supporting programs for day to day tasks.
  • Certifications or qualifications within the field are desirable (ie; IOSH, NEBOSH).
