ROLE:  Engineering Manager
HOURS: Full Time
LOCATION: Crawley

We're looking for a Hard Services Supervisor who will lead all hard service disciplines across site, ensuring all statutory and mandatory elements of the contract are achieved while delivering high standards of service to the Thales client and stakeholders.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all hard service disciplines, ensuring PPM and reactive tasks are completed in line with agreed SLAs and KPIs, while optimising systems and processes to maximise efficiency and reduce energy consumption
  • Provide operational and line management to engineering teams, including training, mentoring, PDA usage, maintaining training matrices, and driving productivity and development
  • Manage subcontractors, ensuring RAMS are reviewed, permits issued, works completed to contractual requirements, and certification uploaded to Maximo, SharePoint, and site files
  • Build strong client and stakeholder relationships, support the FM team, contribute to monthly reporting, attend client meetings, and enhance service delivery through a One Team ethos
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards, safe systems of work, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives, including energy-saving programmes and performance reviews

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role:

  • Experience in M&E industries with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and specialist systems (including liquid nitrogen, oxygen monitoring, and compressed air)
  • Proven experience managing multi-skilled engineering teams, with a strong customer care focus and high levels of communication skills
  • Mechanical Engineering qualification and Health & Safety knowledge (IOSH Working Safely)
  • Full and clean driving licence, able to work at heights, and complete administrative tasks associated with the role
  • Committed, reliable, flexible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
