Job Overview

• Working within the Electrical (Maintenance) Team, you will be required to assist engineers in the completion of planned/response maintenance and remedial works on various plant and systems including: Electrical Equipment and installations, Catering Equipment, Hazardous Areas Systems and Fire Alarms.

Main Duties

• MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULTS AREAS:

  1. Assist electrical engineers with completion of planned & response maintenance along with associated remedial works. Works will include but are not limited to Electrical Equipment and installations, Catering Equipment, Hazardous Areas Systems and Fire Alarms

  2. A. Willingness to attend and pass training courses as required to upskill within trade and progress within the company.

  3. Produce a quality end product first time with no re-work required.

  4. Accurately record details of repairs and complete labour record sheets 

  5. . Ensure materials for works are fully checked for suitability, and are correctly booked in and out of stores (reporting any defects or damage)

  6. Carry out any other duties as directed by your line manager or management team in line with your skillset at that time.

What we are looking for

• Education /

  Qualifications /

  Training · Educated to GCSE or equivalent. 

•  Working towards passing CITB or IOSH H & S test. 

•  Qualified in or working towards BS2391 Testing & Inspection of Electrical Installations

•  Qualified in or working towards BS7671 (18th Edition) C&G Requirements for Electrical Installations

• Knowledge &

  Experience

•  

   Experience of general electrical environment, and construction industry. 

• Capable of working to and understanding Drawings i.e. Installation, Circuit Diagrams and Line Schematics. 

• Experience of working abroad. · Experience of an MOD environment 
•  Knowledge of Permit to Work Systems

•  Good working knowledge of H&S legislation.

•  

   Full driving license. 

•  

   Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.

• Be comfortable working at height and within confined spaces. Training will be provided.
