Critical Systems Lead Shift Engineer
Wokingham – Full time

We're looking for a Critical Systems Lead Shift Engineer who will operate and maintain critical national infrastructure systems across the NESO estate, ensuring resilience, compliance, and continuity of essential services.

Role Responsibilities:

Support 24/7 critical services, ensuring no unplanned downtime.
Complete and maintain weekly data including capacity reports and generator logs.
Work normal hours while providing shift cover when required.
Apply strong working knowledge of BS 7671 electrical installation and testing requirements.
Maintain and troubleshoot building systems including HVAC, lighting, AC/refrigeration, LV infrastructure, UPS systems, generators, and associated distribution equipment.

Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

Time‑served electrical apprenticeship.
Up‑to‑date BS 7671 wiring regulations qualification.
Familiarity with LPHW (Low Pressure Hot Water) systems.
Full UK driving licence.

What we're looking for (Desirable):

HNC in Building Services or related discipline.
C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection.
Experience with Trend 963 or equivalent BMS platforms.
IOSH Health & Safety certification.
HV/LV Authorised Person status.
Confined Spaces AP certification.
Knowledge of ACOP L8 (Legionella management).
