Security Officer – Corporate Security, Leeds

 

We are looking for a professional, dependable, and committed Security Officer to join our Corporate Security Team at a prestigious site in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, works well within a team, and wants to build a long-term career in security.

  • £12.71 per hour
  • Approximate annual salary: £39,655.20 before tax

The Role

As a Security Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for people, property, and assets. You will be expected to uphold high professional standards at all times while supporting the smooth running of security operations on site.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Protecting people, property, and assets at the site
  • Following Assignment Instructions (AIs) and company procedures
  • Identifying hazards, risks, or suspicious activity and taking appropriate action
  • Maintaining accurate incident records and providing clear communication to colleagues and management
  • Working collaboratively as part of a professional security team
  • Supporting colleagues and adapting to operational changes when required
  • Ensuring your SIA licence remains valid and up to date
  • Contributing ideas and improvements to support effective site security

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Essential:

  • Valid SIA Licence
  • Minimum 5 years' continuous UK residency for security vetting
  • Strong observation skills and sound judgement
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

  • SC Clearance
  • Previous security experience
