We are now recruiting Contractor Escorts to join our Facilities Management Team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in the safe and smooth operation of a modern prison environment.

The Role

As a Contractor Escort, you'll be a key point of contact for contractors and service engineers working within the prison. You'll ensure their safe access, supervise them during their time on-site, and maintain strict security standards at all times.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, responsibility, and working in a purpose-driven environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Verifying contractor ID, assisting with check‑in, and ensuring all documentation is compliant.
• Conducting searches and confiscating prohibited items in line with security procedures.
• Performing tool and equipment checks to ensure all items remain accounted for.
• Escorting contractors and visitors to maintain safety and security across the site.
• Handling, searching, and logging incoming deliveries to prevent contraband risks.
• Demonstrating strong security awareness around key control and tool management.
• Carrying out routine inspections to ensure safe working practices.
• Following safeguarding procedures and escalating concerns where required.
• Supporting the onsite Stores team to maintain accurate stock levels and records.
• Receive, receipt and store incoming materials.
• Completing administrative tasks to ensure accurate data and record‑keeping.
• Ensure the safe and secure storage of all store assets—including pump trucks, forklifts, and electric vehicles—as well as contractor materials, with up-to-date COSHH documentation maintained. Additionally, oversee the cleanliness and consistent supply of all satellite stores across the site.
• Ensure full health and safety and fire safety compliance in all areas of work.
