Key Responsibilities

Site Management & Delivery

  • Coordinate labour, materials, and equipment for fire stopping, fire door installation, remediation, and associated works.

  • Ensure all works are completed in line with specifications, manufacturer guidance, and relevant fire standards.

  • Monitor progress against programme and escalate delays, defects, or access issues promptly.

  • Carry out daily and weekly site inspections, quality checks, and compliance reviews.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce site H&S rules, company procedures, and fire safety requirements at all times.

  • Conduct toolbox talks, site inductions, and ensure RAMS are fully understood and followed.

  • Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, fire safety legislation, and best practice for passive fire works.

  • Report near misses, incidents, and non-conformances immediately.

  • Maintain a safe, tidy, and compliant working environment.

Quality Assurance & Documentation

  • Inspect works against drawings, fire strategies, specifications, and quality requirements.

  • Sign off completed passive fire protection and fire door installations, ensuring correct certification and records.

  • Capture photographic evidence, site notes, fire stopping details, and fire door installation records.

  • Support internal audits, client inspections, and third-party compliance checks.

Subcontractor & Client Coordination

  • Supervise and manage subcontractors delivering fire stopping and fire door works.

  • Ensure subcontractors work in line with company standards and fire compliance requirements.

  • Liaise professionally with clients, site teams, and stakeholders.

  • Attend site meetings and provide progress and compliance updates.

Problem-Solving & Leadership

  • Resolve on-site technical, quality, or access issues promptly.

  • Provide guidance, support, and leadership to operatives on fire protection works.

  • Escalate technical, compliance, or resource issues to the Contract or Project Manager.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience supervising passive fire protection and/or fire door works.

  • Strong knowledge of fire stopping systems, fire compartmentation, and fire door installation principles.

  • Good understanding of H&S regulations, CDM, and fire safety compliance.

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, fire strategies, specifications, and technical documents.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and coordination skills.

  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple sites or workstreams.

  • IT-literate: confident using site reporting apps, email, and company systems.

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
